Who I Am All of the
things.
I'm Sabrina Pace-Humphreys and I am here to change the game — and societal perceptions of people who don't necessarily 'fit the mould'.
"Through my actions I show what can be achieved. How we can not only survive but THRIVE because of our circumstances — not despite them."
I co-founded Black Trail Runners, a community and campaigning charity that exists to increase the inclusion, participation and representation of Black people and people of the Global Majority in trail running in the UK and beyond. My first book, Black Sheep: A Story of Rural Racism, Identity and Hope, became an unflinching account of finding belonging in the wilderness — and in yourself.
I discovered running in the darkest period of my life — rebuilding myself through postnatal depression, addiction, and more adversity than I ever expected to survive. That journey took me to the start lines of some of the world's toughest ultramarathons, including the 250km Marathon des Sables and the 268-mile Spine Race. In 2024, the University of Gloucestershire awarded me an Honorary Doctorate in Philosophy for that work, and for the part I've played in the national conversation on mental health and racism.
I am all about connection. Movement changed my life; I believe it can change yours too.
